Typical flower of the greek hillsides, wild Salsify is a flower belonging to the Asteraceae family.
Upright, deep-rooted, it flourishes in our greek garden and likes to invade it ! First the purple-pink flowers flourish, then followed by an enormous pappus, or dandelion-clock. We call it "Trichoura" in greek.
What a beauty when it opens its pappus, before being spread over by the wind !
